UN ratifies bold new goals to end poverty and improve health

Leaders from around the world convened at the United Nations General Assembly in New York to ratify bold new goals to end poverty and improve quality of life for all people by 2030. Over the next 15 years, these goals will shape the landscape for international development, uniting and guiding the efforts of the global community toward a comprehensive vision.

The 17 global goals address issues across the range of human need, including specific goals for health.
